The Pennywell Pantry was set up in 2020 in order to provide affordable and nutritious food to local residents. The pantry itself will be based in what was once a supermarket, and has now been given a new lease of life thanks to the hard work of volunteers.
This Pantry is run by North Edinburgh Arts offers local residents a place to relax, explore, learn, meet, share, volunteer and have fun in. As well as being a venue for community arts, we are also home to a range of services that support the community. This includes the Link Up team, who will run the pantry alongside local volunteers.
For a weekly membership of £3.50, members of Pennywell Pantry will be able to choose a selection of food with a value of £15 - £20 each week. The pantry is here to help you top up your weekly shop, and the variety of food available includes fresh fruit and veg, store cupboard favourites, bread and dairy products.
