There are changes to how Smethwick Pantry is temporarily operating due to Coronavirus outbreak, please read the below note.
During this unprecedented time Your Local Pantry Smethwick is temporarily now at 70 Raglan Rd, Smethwick B66 3ND until the library re-opens.
We will be open every Wednesday from 12-2pm for Pantry Members only. We will be charging the usual £4 membership fee.
As we are the only people using the church we are able to reopen as a shop enabling members once again to choose their own food. We have measures in place to ensure the safety of all our customers, staff and volunteers.
Please remember to bring your freezer bags.
We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday.

The below information is how this pantry usually operates, we hope to be back and running as normal as soon as possible.
This pantry is available on Monday and Thursdays, 10AM-12 Noon.
Smethwick Pantry is a community group for people living in Smethwick.
For just a few pound a week, members can have access to affordable food. Have any questions about this pantry? Contact foodaction@smethwickcan.org
The pantry will be opened at: Smethwick Library, High St, Smethwick, B66 3AP.
This pantry will be opened by Smethwick Church Action Network which is a joint response from Smethwick’s churches to tackle poverty, increase aspiration, provide opportunities and support the most vulnerable.
They formed in 2014 to jointly set up a food bank. Since then, theyhave developed a wide range of food action initiatives, including an allotment, a community café, cooking and shopping lessons.
They are setting up this Pantry to offer food bank users choice and dignity – we see it as a great move-on option from food bank. Other local residents will also be able to become members so that we can develop an integrated, welcoming, community space.
