We're up and running!

Posted 24 May 2019

Peckham Pantry, the first London-based Your Local Pantry officially launched on 1st May 2019. The Pantry is open to residents of Peckham, who pay a subscription of £4.50 per week and are able to buy food, including fresh fruit and veg and store cupboard favourites to the value of £15.

The aim of the project is to offer residents of our local community an opportunity to reduce their shopping bills by supplementing their regular shops with items from the Pantry, as well as giving advice and support, and the opportunity for members to be more actively engaged with their community.

Peckham Pantry is run by Pecan in partnership with St Lukes Church, Peckham, where the Pantry is based. It is open every Wednesday from 11.30 - 15.00.

All residents in the area are welcome to join and the Pantry team look forward to serving their community. A community café and various related activities (including a credit union saving scheme, cooking classes and health and wellbeing events) will be also developed to support Pantry members.

For further information on scheme membership or volunteering at Peckham Pantry, please contact Ged O’Mara on pantry@pecan.org.uk or 020 7732 0007.
