Penny Lane Pantry

Tuesday: 3.30pm - 5.30pm Wednesday: 10.00am - 12.00pm
Welcome to Penny Lane Pantry!

-- Please read this message in regards to Covid-19 --

The way you shop at Your Local Pantry is changing due to advice from Public Health England. Please read this entire post and share it with your friends.

Your Local Pantry Penny Lane is temporarily closed. This is due to Public Health England guidelines about staying safe by not having close social contact with other people. From next week, Penny Lane Pantry members will be able to use Woodley Pantry, Pantry At Number 5 or Brinnington Pantry.

The way the pantries are running is also changing for now.

If members are well and showing no symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), they can collect a pre-packed food bag of 10 items from any of the three pantries listed above. For Brinnington and Pantry at Number 5 this will be on a Thursday between 3.30-5.30pm or Friday between 10am-12 noon.
At Woodley Pantry this will be on Tuesday between 3.30-5.30pm or Wednesday between 10am-12 noon.

As ever, good hygiene practices are being followed, our staff and volunteers will be washing their hands every 20 minutes, hand sanitizers are available and gloves will be worn when handling the bags. We will also be sanitising surfaces, handles and cleaning high traffic areas more regularly than usual.
If a member is self isolating or ill, someone can collect on their behalf if they show their membership number.

MEMBERS NEED TO BRING THE EXACT AMOUNT OF £3.50 FOR THEIR SHOP. Unfortunately, we cannot provide change at the moment. Members paying by standing order who do not want to collect their food bag need to cancel their standing order. This is member’s responsibility and no refunds can be given.

Please bear with us at this time. We are doing our best to serve Your Local Pantry members and the community in the best way we can. The health and wellbeing of our volunteers, pantry members and staff remains our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding and your support for our staff and volunteers, who will be working hard to ensure food is still available through the Pantry for as long as possible.

If you know someone who may benefit from Your Local Pantry, please encourage them to sign up via www.yourlocalpantry.co.uk – we can not provide paper membership forms at the moment.

Thank you for reading, stay safe and we hope to see you soon, the Your Local Pantry Stockport team.
