Can you Support Pantries During the Big Give Christmas Challenge?Everyone should have access to a choice of good quality food, but the cost of living has driven many households into poverty. More and more people are making difficult choices as the cost of essentials increase, which may not only restricts people's choices and freedom, but also make them feel more isolated. Your Local Pantry provides food, community and so much more. Across the UK, over 90,000 people have found friendship, food and freedom through a Pantry membership. “I am no longer having to borrow money to buy food, which has made a huge difference! At Christmas I was able to save up to buy a bike for my son so he can get to college. I am saving towards us having a short family holiday this year, which we've never had before.” - Pantry member This week (28th Nov - 5th Dec 2023) you can make a big difference to the members of the Your Local Pantry network. Every donation will be match-funded by the Big Give to make twice the impact on food insecurity. Your donations will help the Pantries stock up during the winter months and help make Pantries even more effective neighbour-led community hubs by offering wraparound services which connects people to community initiatives.

How the Big Give Christmas Challenge WorksWhen you donate to a charity through a Big Give campaign, funders are then asked to match that donation. For every £1 raised during this week, another £1 will be given to the charity. For more information about how this works, visit the Big Give website. |
