Helping Hands Pantry provides both - and so much more!

If you become a member, you will pay just £4.50 each time you visit, and in return you can access food worth far, far more - typically saving £27 a week. You’ll always find a wide selection, including fresh, frozen and long-life options, fruit and veg, family favourites and non-food essentials.

This is one of 120 Pantries all over the UK. They’re amazing places! Pantries bring people together around food, soften the impact of high living costs, reduce your shopping bills and give people some much-needed financial wriggle room. They’re also places for local people to meet and chat, lighten the load together, and share ideas that can start making change happen.

This is a partnership with Barnardos.

Please note- Helping Hands Pantry is based upstairs at St Paul’s Church, accessible only via stairs- however the Pantry Team are committed to making the Pantry an accessible and inclusive place for all. Below are the plans for starting this in 2024:

• We will provide an assistance bell outside of the pantry, should you require support from a team member
• We will provide electronic tablets where members who cannot access the Pantry physically can see and choose their food items for the week if required, with support from the team
• The Pantry team can support with bagging your chosen items and assistance with bags to your vehicle

In January 2025 we will collect feedback from members and the local community regarding accessibility of the Pantry to co-produce a long-term accessibility strategy.
